Since 1951, Nobel Laureates in the fields of chemistry, physiology/medicine, and physics have gathered in Lindau along with 550 outstanding young researchers from all over the world for the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings.

Within the context of the Europe-wide Bologna Process, Germany’s Federal Government, Länder, and institutions of higher education are conducting the largest higher education reform in decades.

Germany is a top destination for international researchers. Under its initiative Research in Germany, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research supports targeted acticities to promote Germany as a land of ideas and innovation.
